MBA JOURNAL: Rich Morris: Learning in the Real World Classroom
Rich Morris (MBA 2004) wrote an entry for about his summer internship with Deutsche Bank in New York City. Morris describes Wall Street as ďa huge network of scary-talented people whose job it is to essentially figure out ways for clients to do anything they want with their money.Ē Next year Morris will return to work full-time for Deutsche Bank.

Michael Trick, The Bosch Professorship and professor of operations research, was named vice president of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies for North America. From this January through 2006, Trick will hold this position.

E-Business Degrees Show Some Signs of Staying Power
This article about e-business degrees cites a study that finds the number of programs offering specialized e-business degrees has increased. Even after the dot-com crash, these programs have tripled in number in the last three years. Tridas Mukhopadhyay, director of the Master of Science in Electronic Commerce Program, gives Carnegie Mellonís statistics of 65 masters students in e-commerce, up from 34 when the program began. He also says that now the program is visible in multiple disciplines, which didnít happen five years ago.
